Using ecological data from three U.S. Atlantic offshore wind sites, this research models marine food webs before and after construction and shows changes in ecosystem structure and stability. The findings highlight the important roles of sand-dwelling organisms like polychaetes and the mussels that colonize turbine foundations in marine food webs.
